The Earth has completed its orbit and here we are back in November; the month that Manfred died. The month that changed my life forever.
To mark his anniversary I gathered clay from a familiar stream bank and made an artwork on the ground above it. Manfred's spirit is powerfully present in this piece. He is the tree, silent and rooted. He is the energetic field around it and the gravity that attracts and holds me.
There is joy in the petal-like form and tenderness in the clay bowl which offers a sacred space for memories and sorrows. This core element is adorned with feathers and contains a
magical blue thread which reaches back
to the tree and promises a continued
connection with my beloved husband.
